Wooden Ring Sizing
How wooden rings should fit
Wooden rings should be worn about a half size or even a whole size larger than your finger because:
- 1) If you wear your ring too tight, it can put pressure on the ring and increase the likelihood of it breaking.
- 2) Wooden rings weigh less than metal, so they won't fall off your finger as easily.
- 3) You want to feel the wood spin around your finger.
How to get a stuck ring off your finger - Avoiding a broken ring
Although we will do everything we can to send you a ring that fits just right, it doesn't always end up being a perfect fit. When you first get your ring, if it does not easily slide over your knuckle,
do not force it on—send it back to be resized. Also, be very careful about letting anyone try on your ring.
Getting a Wooden Ring unstuck from your finger
If you do find yourself in this situation, instead of tugging on the ring, try this:
- -Get an ice cube and ice your finger and knuckle for 5 minutes or so. The cold will make your finger contract, and the ring should slide right off your finger.
- -It can also be helpful to put a little soap around the ring. Dish soap is the most slippery and seems to work best.
